The Toro Company Announces Annual Product Donation and Greenspace Enhancement Grant Programs

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (February 22, 2021) – The Toro Company has long been committed to helping customers, communities and industries around the world in caring for their outdoor environments. In supporting nonprofit organizations in communities where employees live and work, The Toro Company is proud to announce its Annual Product Donation Program – and, in select cities, its Greenspace Enhancement Grant Program.

Through the Annual Product Donation Program, The Toro Company supports nonprofits worldwide by donating turf and landscape maintenance products to help in maintaining the organization’s facilities and in furthering their mission. Job skills training, encouraging and supporting homeownership, and youth sports organizations are just a few examples of the nonprofit sectors that have benefited from this program in the past.

“Many organizations require equipment and irrigation to ensure safe and well maintained facilities, as well as to help further their mission. Supporting the communities where our employees live and work in this way extends our purpose to enrich the lives, the land and the communities we serve,” said Judson McNeil, President of The Toro Company Foundation.

The Greenspace Enhancement Grant Program is part of The Toro Company’s Land.Water.Thrive. philanthropic initiative, which focuses on helping communities enrich the beauty of the land for the health, well-being and enjoyment of everyone. This program supports nonprofits around the world in enhancing landscapes, transforming neglected industrial areas for public enjoyment, and creating new community gardens – among other projects.

A previous year’s recipient of the Greenspace Enhancement Grant Program included Colegio de Bachilleres del Estado de Chihuahua Plantel 11 in Juarez, Mexico, who received a grant to transform a dirt area into a sports complex. “Without doubt, it will change our students lives and support them in their journey towards personal and professional success. The Toro Company’s investment has been like a seed in fertile soil, since it will flourish through time and many generations will enjoy it,” said Lic. Maria Teresa Ortuño Gurza, General Director of the Colegio.

Qualifying organizations for both programs must be located within 30 miles of an office, manufacturing or distribution location of The Toro Company and be a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Applications for 2021 must be submitted by May 14, 2021, at 12:00 p.m. CDT. Apply today at https://www.thetorocompany.com/toro-community
