Toro's proprietary SpeedContr'l™ ensures precise ground speed to engine speed, which is critical during spraying and top dressing. Simply select the correct position on the SpeedContr'l to maintain consistent speed over undulating fairways and hills. This system lets the transmission and the engine do the work, so you can focus on the job.

“With the Workman® HDX Auto, the operator does not sacrifice power for operating simplicity,” explains Daniel Condran, Senior Sales Manager – Commercial Equipment. “By incorporating an automatic transmission into an already popular and reliable utility vehicle, we are ensuring that even inexperienced crew members can fully perform all functions of the job. In many cases, this in turn makes the automatic unit a safer alternative.”

The Workman® HDX Auto is powered by a 28 hp Kohler® LH775 twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, Electronic Fuel Injection engine. It boasts travel speeds of 17.7 km/h in low range and 32.2 km/h in high range. Additionally, the Workman® HDX Auto provides a total payload capacity of 1498 kg and a towing capacity of 1587 kg.

“This unit is unique in that it delivers peak power at any speed, which makes this the most efficient power delivery system on the market,” adds Daniel. “You can climb the most difficult terrain with a load of sand and not even know the bed is full. Plus, the torque delivery system is smooth and gradual, which minimises wheel spin-outs to minimise damage to the turf.”

The Workman® HDX Auto also features a four-wheel hydraulic disc brake system for added control, an easy-to-use operator panel that includes an electronic switch to engage rear differential lock and the true on-demand four-wheel drive option, which takes the guesswork out for operators.
